Positives:
The major selling point for this hotel is its location. It is directly across the street from the metro and free Old Town trolley.
Negatives:
The property is very dated. The carpet is tired and looked filthy. Our room had a number of issues; the door to the hvac filter had fallen off and you could see the dirt and accumulated filth inside (we had to prop it shut with our luggage) the water spigot in the tub was about to fall off and had to be pushed back on every time we showered, the toilet paper holder actually had rust on it.

I loved that the hotel was close to the metro. It was also close to the free trolley that took us into Alexandria. I loved the breakfast! Beds were comfortable.

My door to the room was hard to open. It would stick and I would really have to push it open. In the bedroom, there was a good size dent in the wall. The lobby was way to cold!

We liked the breakfast and the happy hour food. We enjoyed sitting in the atrium and talking with other family members who came for a family reunion. We love the location. We took the metro into Washington DC.
Negatives:
When we first arrived, the gentleman at the desk could not find our reservations. After I showed him an email, he was able to find the reservation. We booked through a third party. It was a minor problem.
