Room was very nice; loved the bathroom - amazing shower. Very comfortable bed. Nice workout room.

Parking - website said parking was available; we thought that meant garage parking. Instead the garage parking was only Valet and we felt we had no choice but to pay the extra daily fees to park because street parking was limited or you have to park far away from the hotel due to the many parking restrictions in Alexandria. Our room view wasn't greatLor, but for a last minute booking, we tolerated it.

The room was much too small, coffee machine worked only intermittently, maintenance needed to room furnishings wall surfaces and hardware. We had stayed at the Hyatt Centric in Guatemala City the night before, a room twice as big, better furnishings, maintenance, public areas, and staffing, and a much, much better breakfast. Surely in the Capital area of the United States we should be able to do at least as well as in a developing country. The Hyatt brand needs to be consistent internationally, the best standards should be upheld in the United States. This is certainly not the case in the Alexandria Hyatt.
