SpringHill Suites by Marriott Hampton

Negatives: We stayed a total of 5 nights and everynight upon returning our key cards wouldn’t work. We had to get a new key everyday, very frustrating. The room smelled stale, old, like cigarettes and Lysol. The couch in the room had a bunch of sediment on it, we never sat down on it once it looked so dirty. We were told there is someone at the front desk 24 hours a day. We came back late one night at 2am and the front doors wouldn’t open, no one at the front desk, and the card reader in the foyer to enter doesn’t even work. We knocked on the door no one ever came, the next day when I said something I was told it’s locked for our safety, cool then where is front desk to let you in if the card reader doesn’t work. Also though if you enter from the west end of the building that door doesn’t lock at all so you can come and go as you please without a key all day all night, what about my safety now? So for the rest of our stay we just came back through that door, you don’t need a key at all to enter on that side. Rooms need an update to carpet and lighting. Only thing good about our stay was clean and comfortable beds.

Negatives: Needs a fan in bathroom.

Negatives: My room key kept deactivating without it being next to other cards and my room always smelt like smoke and no one in my room smoked. Also my room couch was old and had snags in it

Negatives: The rooms need better upkeep. My sink was damaged. The rooms needed paint. You charged my card for the entire stay before I even spent one night. Every night I had to get my card re-keyed cause I couldn’t get in my room. Towels were hard to come by. I never had my room cleaned in three days and then had no towels. The front desk told me to come back at 8am but if my flight is at 10 that is not helpful. Just disrespectful!
