If Mary & Joseph had to stay there, I’d say no way. It was a very off the grid motel. A new coat of paint does not cover mildew! But, our critique was with the black pubic hairs on the inner sheet. (And I have pictures) They had NOT been changed to our dismay! We had driven 6 & 1/2 hours to see Luray Caverns but afterwards we wished we had gone into Winchester for a much better motel/hotel. Uncleanliness is a big issue with us!!!
As to the so-called breakfast. Just plain yuck! We did not partake of freaking boiled eggs & granola bars. We will never stay at a Days Inn again! This was the pits.

The breakfast wasn't a breakfast when I booked it it said free breakfast so I assumed there would be waffles and eggs and real breakfast food but it was only coffee and granola bars that's not a breakfast

The staff are friendly and helpful, doing the best that they can with a property in great need of updating. The most positive aspect was the pool, which we had to ourselves and which our ten-year-old very much enjoyed after a day of exploring mountains and the caverns.
Negatives:
We booked without much advance notice and this is what was available. You get what you pay for. The room itself was rather worn and smelt a bit musty. A sign at reception announces prominently that local residents are not permitted to stay; that this has to be said rather gives one an impression of the clientele.
