Positives: The rooms were clean and spacious. The location was in the middle of downtown and near VCU. Staff was very friendly.
Negatives: I repeated called housing keeping for more towels and got either no reply. When I finally got through, they brought up only small towels and then didn’t fix the issue after I called back.

Positives: got there 9:45 and it was played out.
Negatives: I arrived with Hilton Honors Number and Amex Card in hand, but was not allowed to check in. Rooms were available. They found my name matched my Hilton Honors number. But I had to first make a reservation before I could check in. I'm sure someone at Hilton thinks this is a good idea, but give your desk clerks authority to accept a regular client on the spot even if someone at home office prefers we do things in their order instead of the guests order.

Positives: Enjoyed the downtown area of Richmond. Good location. Breakfast was excellent and appreciated the hot meal items. Customer Service desk was responsive to give us a different room when AC was reported as not working.
Negatives: The first room we were assigned didn't have working air conditioning. We were given a second room. The second room had a non-working TV and remote (that we did not report due to time constraints). I was disappointed we couldn't watch the Olympics at night. Thought the crumpled 8.5x11 printed "leave a tip for the Housekeeper/Room attendant" with QR code was distasteful, because it didn't look professional and fit into the appearance of the room. I received a secondary e-mail stating my stay would include a parking fee of $20, but when I questioned it at the check in desk, they said it was $25. Really? You should update your email just saying $25 for parking, which was detailed on my hotel bill at the end of stay. Finally, room we stayed in was next to elevators, so I heard the elevator "ding" ALL NIGHT LONG. Wondering if the electronic "ding" could be turned "off" during "sleeping hours"?

Positives: I did like that the Hampton Inn was very close to I 95. I also love that Hamptons Inns are very clean and the staff very pleasant and helpful!
Negatives: I prefer smaller Hampton inns. Also have stayed at several in the past and always had great breakfasts. I wasn't happy with the breakfast. My daughter said it was horrible. Granddaughter and I did eat a little but didn't enjoy it.

Positives: The breakfast had a nice selection. The room had everything I needed. Nothing fancy but had the essentials
Negatives: The emergency alarm went off and an announcement was heard on the intercom that we had to evacuate and could not use the elevator. I went down 16 flights of stairs. We were never informed what the actual emergency was and no announcement was made that we were clear to come back in. We kinda had to guess by asking around. Very poor communication. This was 10pm when I was trying to relax after a long day. While standing outside the hotel, a man off the street who appeared to be homeless or seeking an opportunity, gathered in the same group as me. He proceeded to follow me inside the hotel, elevator, and watch me. I knew he was suspicious and wasn't staying there so I got off on a floor that wasn't my own. He followed me out the elevator. I ended walking with a man whom I didn't know, which deterred the man following me. I shared with the patron that he was following me. The patron got him to leave. I later called the front desk confirm he was out of the hotel. I had a hard time sleeping thinking a potential emergency happening again while I slept or the homeless man attempting to find me. Staff generally was not friendly or seem to care much about being helpful. Very uncomfortable and unpleasant experience.

Positives: view,coolness of the room, spaciousness of the room all of the staff were nice, pleasant informed, and the breakfast was neat clean and fulfilling.
Negatives: the shower glass door wouldn't stay closed while taking our showers. i was informed that they would fix it. that never happened, therefore causing uncomfortable showers(cold air), etc. and causing us the guest to continuously put towels on the floor to attempt to protect the hotel's floor from future damage. and asking for extra towels that were only given once, and we never did receive the necessary towels due to the staff going home. thankfuly I had towels of my own in my luggage. and i had to call downstairs twice to get those towels due to receiving them late ,delaying my departure to the wedding. Maybe something can be done for future reservations in your other locations to mk this a better experience.
