Holiday Inn Roanoke - Tanglewood Route 419 & I 581

Negatives: No healthy options for breakfast and the breakfast they did have was very limited for 12 bucks.

Negatives: This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed. The toilet would not flush and it took 2 hours for maintenance to arrive and plunge the toilet. It barely worked so they left the plunger for me to use if it stopped working again which it did. The room was not clean and the bathroom was disgusting. Food from the previous guest was still in the fridge. The shower was absolutely disgusting with soap scum and hair everywhere. The hotel is going through renovation and I guess work had been done in the room recently because the hangers in the closet were covered in dust that stained my clothes before I discovered it. The staff were also completely clueless and overwhelmed. Had to make multiple trips to the front desk to complain because the phones did not work. Also, not my experience but standing in line, during one of my multiple visits to the front desk, a guest checking in was told that the double bed room he reserved was no longer available because they had all been given out due to some kids' soccer event going on. Picture the Seinfeld episode with Jerry talking to the car rental agent about her not understanding what a "reservation" means. They had somehow given out his reservation forcing him to get a single room when he was there with his son, an unrelated person and their son. I won't share the full story of another guest I heard was told "You flushed the toilet too hard" to explain the problem they were having with their toilet. How do you flush a toilet too hard? This hotel is terrible. Do not stay here. See the attached photos.

Negatives: I’m still waiting for the $15 fee to be returned that they added at the time i checked in and promised would be refunded within two days

Negatives: Nothing everything was spot on

Negatives: 2 elevators we’re not working during the weekend; more staff was needed Friday night for check in; property was overbooked and we were not given the room we paid for.

Negatives: Building under construction, loud guest after hour's disruption of sleep, there were very questionable guests we reported them to staff. Rude staff. And the parking was awful. We ended our trip two days early due to the fact we had enough Constant vapeing and drug use in facility.

Negatives: Our room was on the 4th floor, which is being renovated. The halls were extremely hot. They must have just painted & the fumes were herendous. The smell of paint gives you a headache it's so strong. We didn't realize until morning that the room had not been vacuumed. There were ants everywhere on the floor from food that had been left. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT EAT AT the restaurant in the hotel. The steak we ordered was like shoe leather. I couldn't even cut it with a knife Whatever was in the rice pilaf was bad. The pepper jack cheese on the chicken stunk so bad because it was no good. Someone really needs to clean out the fridge & get new food. Because the stuff is bad & talk about small portions. It's totally ridiculous. We had to order pizza out through door dash.
