Positives:
The walkability was great, close to everything. The view was nice, huge windows.
Negatives:
No real amenities in the room, no fridge…I don’t remember there being a coffee maker… the room smelled a little musty, it was clean enough…windows don’t open. Pool needed an over haul, hot tub was broken ( one of the main reasons I booked). It was okay. We did not eat there so can’t comment on food. Checking in one of the managers was at reception, very nice, went above and beyond…the other staffers were nice, they seemed to be more interested in their computer. Checked out was easy, no one asked how the stay was…. All in all it was ok, we plan to go back, but most likely will try another lodging.

Receptionist was not welcoming and made no eye contact when I came to the desk. Couldn’t find my reservation, and made me feel uncomfortable.
Never gave me any communication as to where the elevators were, nor how I got my baggage to the room. No one was there in the lobby, so no excuse. It was a Monday, and when I asked about neighborhood restaurants open on a Monday night (lots seemed to be closed Mon/Tues), she said she didn’t know any restaurants and gave me a long preprinted sheet and said to call them to ask.
Your receptionists SHOULD know area places to eat during the week when your restaurant is not open.
My room was very spare. I did have a small dog with me, but lordy - not a comfortable chair to sit in? It felt like a college dorm room. How could you offer that in this day and age? It felt like a low level Holiday Inn. You need to offer better.

Positives:
Visited for my wife's 50th high school reunion. The buffet dinner at the hotel for the event was probably the best buffet dinner I've ever had at any facility. The food (southern fried chicken, beef strips, asparagus, and potatoes au gratin were truly marvelous and scrumptious and the cheese cake was the same. It was so far above the norm that I mentioned it to several other reunion participants and they agreed and made similar comments. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. The shower had strong pressure and plenty of hot water. Hotel personnel from the food service staff to the front desk were both friendly and informative.
Negatives:
The drinks at the bar were a little pricy with bottle beers at $8 and a glass of wine for $12 (but my wife got an ample pour).
