no bedside lamp for reading. ROOM HAD AN UNPLEASANT SMELL. . Closet (if one call it that). had only one hanger.

Least expensive probably does not include most basics expected.

After returning my room after a late night event, I discovered that both beds were filthy. The situation was so bad that I abandoned my room, drove to another hotel and paid again for the same.

Gent at the desk was very nice and helpful, interesting conversationalist. Other staff and guests I encountered also very friendly. Weird synthetic sheets and thin bedding were adequate for the air conditioned room.
Negatives:
The room was atrocious. Tap handles in bath need to be removed and completely cleaned, and dont turn the water completely off. Did not use the shower. No hand towels, so used one of the wash cloths. Great tile in sink area, but the rest of the assembly is painted C grade plywood. Bed and night shelf only, no chair or desk or table. No hangers in closet. No lamp other than harsh overhead light. Ceiling had me thinking asbestos. This is a motel probably used to housing migrant laborers, who deserve better accommodations for feeding us. They likely dont do a brisk enough business to afford serious refurbishment and then wouldnt be as affordable. $57 does not buy a lot of quality just about anywhere in 2023, and it didnt here either.
