Larkspur Landing Renton - An All-Suite Hotel

Negatives: My husband and I have stayed at the Larkspur landing many times. This was the first time we were greeted, or not greeted as the case was by someone who was absolutely rude. When we walked in, we waited near the desk. There was another gentleman in front of me who had been waiting for some time. It said ring bell. I did and he said good. Maybe when you do it it'll do something. It didn't. We both stood there for at least 15 minutes while more customers came in. Waiting to be seen. Finally, Fatima showed up to the desk having come from down the hall. I asked her if it was normal for there to be no one at the front desk to greet people. Her reply was well. Sometimes we have other things to do. No I'm sorry, no acknowledgment of the inconvenience of all the people that had been standing there myself for 15 minutes. The gentleman in front of me, at least 20. After the gentleman had been taken care of and the process with myself and my husband began. She asked a bunch of questions told me I had to find the exact card and made my booking with. I dug I could not find it. She worked on other things while I was digging around. Finally, I said I can't find it, and then I realized. Oh yes, I had to cancel that card because I had had fraud charges on it. Once I explain that I said can we check me in now, she came back to the desk and proceeded to check us in. She was utterly rude and unapologetically ignorant about how to check people into a hotel. Not to mention the fact, that she made us feel like we were inconveniencing her and interrupting her evening. It wasn't like we showed up late at night either. I will never be back. I have never been treated so rudely by anybody and especially someone taking my money. I have to stay there for the bookings I've made because they are non-refundable. Another thing that this particular hotel never used to do. So. They can have my money this time but never again.

Negatives: What is not good is; In the publication they show something beautiful, but in reality it is ugly.

Negatives: There were many small cleaning details overlooked that I was disappointed in. I think the small details matter the most sometimes. Our bathroom had no hand soap stocked, there were several Hair's in the tub, found a half a joint on the living room floor, floors were not swept well. The building is nice and has so much potential but I'm definitely used to some more updated accommodation. The bathroom had no vent fan, could definitely use a fresh coat of paint to cover water damage spots ok walls. The main bedroom has no fan/air conditioning unit only the living room. Gets hot at night. The free breakfast is better than nothing but again unfortunately I'm uses to a but more for the same price hotel. I was disappointed that nothing was hot, scrambled eggs and sausage is what most places offer however this hotel only offered pre packages of cereal muffins and whole fruit. Overall I was still ok with my experience but if they could up there game a small amount it would be a fantastic hotel! Again I'd like to say the staff was great! I think these issues come from the management team. Not sure if ill stay here again..

Negatives: Loud music in entry way. Shower was out of body soap.

Negatives: Hotel said they had no record of our reservation, even though I had all confirmation emails and screen shots of our reservation. They blamed it on Booking.com, and said they never received an email or confirmation from booking.com. One room was supposed to be handicap accessible for my 92-year-old in-laws, instead they only had standard rooms which made it too difficult for them to use the shower (hotel clerk said there was a small curb to step over, but it was a standard bathtub).

Negatives: No pool. Breakfast is limited

Negatives: I was unable to utilize the breakfast option due to my physical limitations to shower and dress. I move very slowly and unsteady. Having an option of a variety of breakfast items delivered to the room would have been nice. The kitchen light bulb wasn't working. Assuming the bulb was burned out. I was in horrible pain upon arrival, following a medical procedure, and forgot to notify the staff.

Negatives: Breakfast could have had more options, like unsweetened oatmeal. Felt like everything was sugar based.

Negatives: Didn't like anything. Dump of a hotel

Negatives: The bathtub didn’t drain properly, so when you took a shower your feet had a bath as well. The property was old and needs updating. The keys would never work. Every time we left our room we had to get a new key. Breakfast didn’t have much selection.
