Poor
Positives:
Location is close to University of Washington campus and U District train stop. The rooftop bar is excellent. The rooms are large and relatively clean (the bathtub is a bit old).
Negatives:
The central A/C was outside my room and it was a bit noisy. The bathtub was a bit older and some pain was chipped (that's cosmetics).

Overall, I recommend this hotel.
Positives:
Graduate Seattle is one of the most top tier experiences I’ve ever had. The accommodations were stellar and the history unique. The staff was unbelievable — the front desk, valet team, mountaineering club hostesses, the incredibly respectful/helpful maintenance men, and the lovely house keepers — whoever is in charge of hiring has put together the most amazing crew and it shows, bravo.
The hotel is very clean and unique. The showers have quality products, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. The curtains fully close for a proper night of rest. The walls are very well insulated and sound proofed. Fast elevators and fast service. Tons of food options in easy walking distance. The Mountaineering Club has amazing views, food, and atmosphere. Ryan and Devin (and the whole team) are sublime, their bartending and general knowledge is next level: they are humble but if you’re craving a drink they’ll make the best one you’ve ever had.
I’ve never rated a place 10/10 but hands down will for Graduate Seattle, will be back, and will recommend to all friends traveling to Seattle:

Exceptional
Positives:
Great location if you need to be near the University of Washington. Half block away from the U-District Light Rail station.
Free secured luggage hold at Front Desk.
Ground-level entrance (no stairs) to Lobby.
Beautiful view of the city from their rooftop.
Daily room straightening.
Front Desk Manager adjusted down my booking fee based on the numerous problems we encountered.
Negatives:
The first and second day, No air conditioning in our room. No explanation or apology. Contacted the Front Desk the first morning and was told a repair person would be sent that day. Came back to a standing box fan. Later told at Front Desk that the entire building was without ac. AC worked that evening until we left the next morning.
No bottled/canned water in room upon arrival or second day (although listed as coming with the room). Had to request and 2 cans were brought up the first night, 4 plastic bottles of water handed over at Front Desk the second day.
No refrigerator in room (although listed as coming with the room). Was told that I needed to request a refrigerator. A mini fridge was brought up and plugged in late on the first night.
No carpeting in the room, although listed. Floor somewhat sticky.
No water or hot beverage cups provided upon arrival or next day. Had to call (first night) and request at the Front Desk (second day).
We saw and reported to a person working in the lobby near the elevator, broken glass at the elevator and on carpet fronting the elevator on our floor. Glass was still there hours later. When reported to Front Desk again, was told I should have told the Front Desk.
Automatic Door lock to our room and 8 provided key cards did not work 3 times, requiring three trips to the front desk, long waits outside our room while new key cards were made, then for a maintenance person to come and determine the battery in the door lock needed to be changed.
Blood from a previous guest on the quilt under top sheet of bedding. Noticed and reported to staff and Front Desk the first morning. Yuck. Bedding was changed by the time we returned to the room later.
Lobby bathroom, located downstairs with passcode entry, was not well stocked or maintained. Some stalls had no toilet paper, no seat covers, someone's pants hanging out of a toilet...

Very disappointed, but it could...
Positives:
Desiree, the front staff was amazing. Accommodated us was warm and welcoming gave us recommendations for local eateries and also gave us a complementary drink ticket to the Mountaineer rooftop bar, which I highly recommend everyone try to make it to the mountaineer bar. If you don’t like alcoholic drinks there are non-alcoholic cocktails and the food looked amazing. I will definitely be back and thanks to Toni for accommodating us on our late arrival to be able to experience the mountaineer your bar.
