Positives:
Close to restaurants and shopping that we come to Seattle for.
Negatives:
We booked thru a 3rd party however we called the hotel directly about needing early check in, as we’ve previously done. We’ve stayed at the Motif several times in recent years & have always been accommodated. Staff gave us empty, pat answers and did not come thru on anything. Waited 4 hours in the lobby for our room after walking around for three hours prior to that. Never received early check in. Never received a text notification as advised when our room was ready. Finally spoke with Anthony and he said that our room was in deed ready. If we had not approached him, we would have continued to sit in the lobby much longer. He was the only employee that was genuine and interested. we sat and watched him for hours, and his interaction with the customers was amazing. We had been up and traveling for over 15 hours by the time we got our room. We remained courteous and polite when inquiring with staff but the same was not reciprocated by several of them.

Positives:
Extremely clean. Bathroom was spotless. Area was safe. Bobby at the restaurant was probably the best server I’ve seen in my life.
Negatives:
My mattress was worn. I felt like I was sleeping in a sinkhole. Our flight arrived in the morning and my travel party was jet lagged. I felt like we were negatively judged. Also, it would be nice if the hotel would text once the room was ready for check in.

Room was HOT and had to wait for a person to come and fix the air conditioning. Then someone came with a fan that I had to find an outlet and plug in. It was midnight with all this was happening. The girl that answered the phone told us there wasn't anything they could do. I told her that was not going to work for me. The guy that came up said we could change rooms. I said its midnight, we have to get up early, we are very tired now and my husband is blind. Too much stuff to move.
