Location, location, location! I love it because it's close to everything you need. Plus, they offer complimentary bikes for guests to use during their stay, and the lobby is really nice.
Negatives:
There are two ladies working at the reception who were unfriendly with everyone. They treated the doorman, who is originally from Ethiopia, very poorly—yelling at him and treating him as if he were of a lower class. Despite having lived in the US across various states for over 15 years, this is the first time I've witnessed such disrespectful treatment of others. It's truly disheartening, especially since the manager was on vacation. The receptionists treated guests as if they hadn't paid for their stay! .. Their behavior was not just annoying; it was downright unacceptable and left a lasting negative impression.

It was amazing. Very relaxing. Beautiful view of the city.
Negatives:
Parking was a pain. Had to pay $46 for overnight parking 2 blocks away. It was pretty busy everywhere. So plan on walking a ways to get from your car to the hotel. Other than that the hotel was very clean and cozy. Don't drunk the bottled water. Almost cracked one open. Then read the tag on it that says that if we drink it my card would be charged $7.

Great location, great staff..
Positives:
We were two young girls staying at the Hotel Max and we felt super safe. Most of the time there was someone standing in front of the door and you could only go up the elevator with your key card. Staff was friendly and the room had everything we needed.
