The hotel was very clean and the staff were so nice! The property was in a great location. We were able to walk to the waterfront, the market, and a few other places we wanted to visit.

Centrally located to our planned activities, so driving or taxi’s would not be necessary. Hotel was clean and service was excellent.
Negatives:
$1,495.50 for three nights was excessive! The “spectacular” view from our room was the neighboring building. No view of water or city as expected.

Positives:
Did not have breakfast, but we did enjoy dinner on a few occasions and cocktails downstairs. The location is convenient to stores downtown and it’s easy to go into different neighborhoods around the city. It’s a hilly area, but getting around is walkable. Love the carpet in the room and the lounge areas.
Negatives:
1. We expected robes and a better liquid soap (no Bliss).
2. 4 night stay and very little space to store our clothes. The closet area seemed too distant. The entire wall where it was located would be excellent for a storage area for guests. Coming from AZ to a cooler climate meant heavier clothing.
3. There were no extra hooks! 2 hooks for towels and washcloths wasn’t enough.
4. Charge for water? $4 a bottle…now that is nickel and dime-ing your guests!! Isn’t that a basic necessity?
5. The 5th floor ice machine room needs cleaning or disinfecting, smells like pee!
6. You load the room up with drinks and snacks for purchase, however, the rates you charge are a bit much.

For the most part, the front desk staff was fine. The guest services person I had was not. They charge a bogus $25 per day “destination” charge that is credited back if you dine in the hotel. On our day of checkout I was informed you can’t use $25 credit on the day of check out. I told the employee nowhere was the $25 fee disclosed on the reservation no was I told at check in that it needed to be used in the next 8 hours. Her response was to simply stare at me with a blank stare and say “sorry about that.” After speaking to the manager, he said, of course I could use the credit on the day of check out. So either they adjusted the policy or the employee is poorly trained. The biggest issue is she flat out could not have cared less.
