Hotel Thea Tacoma Ascend Hotel Collection

Negatives: I booked this hotel for the pool. The pool was closed due to remodel. The halls and around the elevator was dirty and smelled. There was a lot of commotion outside until the middle of the night.

Negatives: Place is closing in 2 weeks! Converting from hotel to small apartments! Construction zone so everything is dusty/dirty EXCEPT our room had been newly refurbished. NO closet or place to hang clothes. Minimal breakfast. NONE of this review matters!

Negatives: There was microwave breakfast sandwich and cereal. The coffee wasn't fresh. No napkins and the chairs were put up so you didn't really have a place to sit. Bad lighting. The pool was closed and there was nothing said about this when renting.

Negatives: Not as advertised online. No pool, dirty common areas, strained carpet and furniture. Under construction and onsite management unprofessional.

Negatives: They are converting the hotel rooms to apartments so we were in a construction zone. We couldn’t stay there during the day unless you like listening to banging of hammers, etc… there was no pool, no workout room, nothing! The people working the front desk did not care about our concerns whatsoever. On top of this they couldn’t give us a statement when we checked out and found on our bank statement they charged us four times the same amount for who knows what. They said it was erroneous and will credit us but who knows! We feel we should be credited the whole amount for the hotel because they did not advertise that they were under construction and they had no amenities do to construction and conversion to apartments!

Negatives: Prepaid for a hotel room and then drove 4 hours only to be told folks under 25 cannot reserve a room. The front desk person couldn’t even give me an explanation as to why that was. I’m over 21 and stayed there before no problem but now all of a sudden there’s an issue. Will not be returning.

Negatives: It’s been a month and still haven’t gotten a refund. You guys also still haven’t answered booking.com

Negatives: Was over pirced for the Two nights, that being said, There was absolutely no warm water for a shower, it was 100 percent cold both days. Even after letting the water run for 10 minutes.. Bedding smellt like they had been left in the washer for a day or two before being dried!. We also wernt given the wifi password! During booking there was no info on the pool being closed do to renovation, the free breakfast wasn't really breakfast, it was a waffle machine, and a fee other school lunch items. With the price of the hotel being so high, you think they would have organized seating for the people snacking on the breakfast!

Negatives: Everything.

Negatives: Well we payed for everything and went in and they said they didn't have a room for us

Negatives: Everything from the super stained carpet to the rattley window on the ground floor and the noise from the freeway to the lack of Wi-Fi in our room, and the receptionist who made us wait 8 minutes before we could check in, even though the lobby was empty.
