Motel 6-Tacoma WA - South

Negatives: Dirty, dog mess everywhere, junkies surrounding motel. Woken up to one screaming outside our room from 5am. The room could do with a good scrub down top to bottom.

Negatives: This was not the first hiccup with a reservation at this location, I'm usually very understanding.. I stayed in room 125. The fridge was broken and smelled like paint on the inside. Upon first checking into the room, it smelled so intensely of paint fumes that it was nauseating for 3 days. The door didn't seal as it had clearly been broken into or broke open multiple times so door loosely latched and it had no insulation or filler to block out the cold air the smoke aromas from other guests smoking outside the room. The only other downfall of the room was multiple times through the night, every night, you would wake to a loud bang sound as if someone hit a metal beam with a hammer that would come from people hanging by the stairs. The office staff had given me keys when we checked in, but after 3 days they had been reset. And when I had them reset the key for my room, it was only set for 1 more day, for the remainder of my stay. There was an excessive amount of suspicious behavior with many of the guests, one morning I woke up to someone passed out in their car along the curb by my door. The next morning we went to leave and another car was parked by the curb, the driver appeared zoned out, and the other person with the passenger door wide open, puking outside over the foot step on their vehicle. In the room there was one source of light; BRIGHT Spot light style lights scattered across the ceiling linked to the switch by the door and the light over the sink didn't work, lighting in the bathroom wasn't great unless the shower curtain was open. If the check in had been less personal and less hostile, I would have felt more acceptable to reach out and request a possible change in room, etc but being as I had a little kid with me and the process had already taken over 30 minutes from the time I had walked into an empty Lobby, I didn't want to further aggravate the receptionist with a complaint of a less than Check-in-Ready room.

Negatives: Some maintenance could make it much better that's on the owner.

Negatives: Needs repairs badly you get what you pay for it's pretty cheap.

Negatives: The price for this hotel is outrageous for the quality of a hotel you’re staying in. I had to switch rooms 2 times. 1st time because the TV wouldn’t work. 2nd time because they were doing construction. There were bugs on the table. Both rooms were disgusting and not clean. The showers were filthy and the shower tub bottom was caving in. I didn’t feel clean at all. I felt dirty the whole time I was there. The wifi is terrible and doesn’t stay connected, and barely works when it is connected. The outside had trash everywhere and homeless people all around the place hanging out and doing drugs. The area is a really ghetto area.

Negatives: The room had an odor as if it didn’t get cleaned.

Negatives: You had to pay for things like shampoo and conditioner, body wash, and toothbrush. Things other comparable motels had free right in the room. I could have bought them cheaper at Dollar Tree too. Needless to say, since I hadn't packed shampoo for the 10 day cross country trip, I didn't shower that night.

Negatives: cleaning and the upkeep of everything was sad. could replace stuff at Dollarstore and it would be 100% better.
