Positives:
The location of the property was very good. We didn't need to be near the university or the capital so it worked out fine. We avoided the valet parking cost by parking on the street behind the hotel and that worked out very well. There's coffee shops, a very good pizza place and grocery store in walking distance. We stayed for a week and we were upgraded (the second night) to a very nice corner room that was plenty big and very quiet. The lobby area is also very nice and welcoming.
Negatives:
The room was cleaned only every three days. There was an option to tell the front desk to clean and make up the room daily but you have to take the initiative to make that happen. Also, we would have liked two more pillows on the bed.

Very nice stay in Madison....
Positives:
Very fun place with great staff. Loved the free beverage tokens, candy jars, etc. Fun place! We thought it was great there was a stash closet with extra toiletries easily accessible
Negatives:
The rooms are very echoey, which isn't a big deal unless there is someone out in the hallways. The doors didn't do much to block the sound, and unfortunately we had some louder guests on our floor late at night.

I picked this hotel because...
Positives:
The location was great. Lots of places to walk to for dining or drinking . The bathroom was lovely with nice shampoo and soap. Easy access for anyone with mobility issues (no climbing over a tub).
Negatives:
This place is not fully functional. The rooftop bar: not ready
The restaurant: not ready
The room has one small fold up table for your things. One drawer under the bed to unpack. If you are like me and don't like to operate out of a suitcase you are out of luck.
The lobby and library are great places to relax, read a book, we saw some people catching up on work. However, all seating is low. Getting off the chair or sofa is difficult for older people. No closet. The room had multiple hooks however a third of them were over the TV.

Positives:
Location was great, walkable to downtown and right next to a concert venue and restaurants. The hotel was very clean as well.
Negatives:
The room was really small. The decor was cute but definitely was a “fashion over function” type of stay. This was evident in the dysfunctional, narrow sink that spilled water over the edge and onto the floor with every use, there weren’t enough table/shelf spaces to set belongings down without them being on the floor. Parking was also quite expensive especially given how pricey the room was to begin with.

There wasn't enough staff, eg, the person who checked you in was also the barmaid (long wait for a drink if someone was checking in). Also, housekeeping was poor - 6 night stay and our room was cleaned twice and that was after I spoke to reception.
However, this would not put me off returning as a guest.

Positives:
Had a lot of personality in the decor and felt really clean. Lobby downstairs was nice and the valet was really nice. The snack area was really convenient and well priced. Loved the separate rain head and the hand held in the shower!
Negatives:
Wish the bathroom door was not a barn door, very little privacy because it doesn’t close all the way. Wish the AC went a bit lower, it was rather warm at night.
