the first night it was really cold in my room. The furnace is outdated and really loud. The second stay a couple of days later was better. The room was warm and renovated. But the tv did not work and the alarm clock was ringing all the time.

The staff were all very polite and friendly! Rice lake is a wonderful place to be held over for work as I was. The bowling alley has nice staff which was across the street. The Econo Lodge had a nice indoor pool and hot tub. I enjoyed the hot tub!

It was ok. All I did was sleep there. This was the second time I was there, and I have a few more weekends I will be going.
Negatives:
Although all staff didn't greet or acknowledge me at the front desk, the majority did. As for breakfast, I'm a diabetic, so sugary breakfast is not the ideal breakfast. Maybe incorporate some fruit or protein. Overall, it was a good stay.

The room above 109 had a child (presumably) VERY active for a few hours so sleep was a challenge. The heater made a boatload of noises so we wondered if would shut off, blow up, lose parts, etc. The refrigerator had a high pitch squeal and never got very cool. Building is close to the street so traffic was very loud.

I liked the fact that the employees were so nice and to the girl who was talking about just losing her dad and still being at work even though she was crying.. I feel for you cuz I just lost my dad in 2022 and I had to take 6 months off work just to feel normal again. Props to you your the most chill. And props to the girl who was in active labor still working. But the kids running around slamming doors until midnight pretty much made me upset... People need to tame their kids
