Clean and comfortable. Close to Courtenay shops and restaurants. Staff were friendly and efficient. Bed and linens were clean and comfortable. Nice to have both a fridge and microwave to store and reheat the pizza we ordered from the Flying Canoe next door.
Negatives:
Although we had a room on the top floor and quiet side of the bldg, the hotel is located on a main road and close to a busy intersection, so there was the rush of traffic noise all day long -- early morning to late at night. That's not the hotel's fault of course, and we found if we kept our sliding glass doors closed, it was not disruptive to our sleep.

The breakfast was good. The location was convenient to down town and to several highways.
Negatives:
The room smelled MUSTY but the linens and the bathroom were clean and one could open a sliding glass door to a small balcony at the BW The Westerly in Courtenay. The rates were also high.
