Its character and the welcoming staff. Each morning a complimentary breakfast and in the afternoon complimentary wine and cheese. This made for a great opportunity to meet and converse with people from elsewhere.

Great location for a short city visit. Luggage storage was available to us on our checkout day which was really helpful. Basic breakfast pieces available; yoghurt, fruit and cereal bars.

Loved the beautiful feeling of the older style hotel. The intricacies in the decor and the length the staff go to make you feel comfortable and welcomed. Loved the wine and nibbles in the beautiful foyer. We would stay here again

The receptionist was super rude when I reported a missing item from my room. He didn't attempt to investigate,but contrary he accused me of lying. He basically was on the defensive saying that "a lot of people report missing items from their rooms, how do I know if it is true!?" Well, this is a red flag. If a lot of people report the same thing .. probably there is a security issue.
Not sure about the smell of the lobby . Breakfast very basic.
