Terrible AC, room door slammed, no pool seating,concierge came into our unoccupied room after we had unpacked to deliver chocolate. They try to portray their two star hotel as a four star.

Positives:
Short walk to Santa Monica Pier and shops. Nice pool. Lots of effort to provide everything you need, free bike hire, iced water in entry to hotel, and by the pool. Free coffee in lobby also. Staff personable and kind.

Great location and exceptional staff
Positives:
The property is in a good location in terms of reaching the beach and restaurants. However, the amount of crazy people outside the hotel does not make it conducive to bringing children.
Negatives:
The property is under construction, the pool area is filthy, and the room we were told that was appropriate for four people was not. We had to abandon the room 3 days early and pay for another hotel.
