Unsafe area. Left earlier than planned because of a shooting in the parking lot

Don’t ever stay here, homeless people allowed to wonder around the outside of hotel. Second night there we had a shooting in the parking lot at Applebees. This hotel has a 3 star rating and should be a one. Hotel was dirty, holes in walls. And smelled of pot all over hotel.!

The bathroom door was off the track and would not open or close, the refrigerator had leaked all over the floor, there was a mouse running down the hallway, there was no continental breakfast and falsely advertised. The hot tub was covered with furniture and unaccessible. I tried to get an extra pillow for my 76 yr old disabled mom and the hotel would not get me one. I needed an iron and the hotel said they couldn’t provide one as it had been stolen out of my room. I asked for a refund and they said to get ahold of my booking agency for a refund. It was an awful experience

It’s in a great location being right by the main road and allows for easy travel.
Negatives:
I have stayed at this hotel a couple times and sadly it is just gone down with every visit. This time we had the shower door messed up. The toilet was leaking. The fire sprinkler in the ceiling had a bag taped around it.
