Red Carpet Inn - Stamford

Negatives: Worst hotel I ever stayed in and I'm used to slumming it. Bed had cigarette burns through the comforter and long pieces of someone else's hair in the bed when I pulled the cover off. The carpet was literally sticky, I don't even want to know why. There was yellow ice in the freezer and some kind of goo in the fridge, the furniture looked like it came from a dorm room dumpster. There was hair wrapped around the blow dryer in the bathroom, and most of all the frightening part- the door swing lock was cracked in half and hanging off the door frame, telling me someone had kicked the door in before. This was room 237. The bed was uncomfortable and was made up like something in a hospital with plastic underneath and cheap sheets. Basically the whole place was uncomfortable and disgusting. I'm used to staying in cheap hotels but not ones that leave the same car for months according to the reviews abandoned in the parking lot with an engine covered by a tarp. The people at the desk spoke almost no English, although on the last day I did get a nice lady who had very good English. She was actually friendly and asked me how my stay was and I had to lie to her because I couldn't bear to be mean to someone that nice with the truth

Negatives: The sheets were dirty. Presentation overlook the uncleanliness of the sheets when I first walked in. Until I uncover the sheets to realized it had marks of white stains under the covers. Housekeeping doesnt change the sheets they just rearranged them. If Iam paying money to be there. I deserve to have a clean room. I left the place with a dry consistent cough. Iam not sure whether mold is building and it hasnt been inspected However, I left with Iam sorry for that and nothing to make sure it wont happen again at least for the next booking customer.
