About This Property
Welcome to The Hoxton, Chicago - your home away from home in the heart of Chicago's West Loop district. While there is so much to do (and eat) in this nook of the Windy City, you may find yourself having a hard time leaving The Hoxton's four walls. We've got 3 bars and restaurants, rooftop pool, room service, a coffee shop, yoga studio, The Apartment - our meeting and events space, and Working From_ - our coworking space (just to name a few). In the lobby, you'll find Cira - a modern Mediterranean restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and tasty weekend brunch. Up on the roof, there's Cabra - a Peruvian-inspired cevicheria by Chef Stephanie Izard. And finally, for nightcaps and evening sips, head to Lazy Bird where you'll enjoy live music with a cocktail (or two) in hand. As for our rooms, each is air-conditioned with a satellite flat-screen TV, well-appointed interiors, private bathrooms with rain showers and the free Hoxton extras you know to expect from us: tea kettle, coffee and tea, water, mini fridge, blow dryer, Blank toiletries, 24-hour front desk service along with WiFi throughout the hotel. What's more, we're dog-friendly, and offer valet parking for hotel and restaurant guests. We're a short stroll to Willis Tower, Chicago Board of Trade Building and the CIBC Theater. The closest airport is Midway International Airport (MDW) - about 8 miles from The Hox.

Recent Reviews
Positives:
Location + Vibes of the restaurants and lobby
Negatives:
The room is tiny! You literally have to open the bathroom door to open up the shower. Basic AF amenities. I had to build a vanity to do my makeup. A hot mess.

Disappointing
Positives:
It was a lovely newly decorated room and bathroom.
Negatives:
All was very good!

Brilliant stay!
Positives:
Some of the front desk staff were lovely. Location was amazing and cocktails at Lazy Bird were great.
Negatives:
No amenities in the room that you would expect at this price point (3 hangers, no body lotion, no water, no spoons or cutlery). You had to request for your room to be cleaned or for new towels, and even when you do leave the sign on the door, still no one attends. The hotel was incredibly loud - we were on the 9th floor and slept awfully for the 5 nights we stayed. When we complained we were told it’s a loud place to stay so we had to put up with it and we were given some foam earbuds. Very disappointing for the price we paid.

Disappointing for the price
Positives:
This hotel has amazing bar and public spaces. The ground floor and rooftop are buzzing almost all the time.
The area is super trendy, loads of great restaurants and bars around. Train easy from the airport. Out of the centre but good transport links and walkable in about 40 mins.
Negatives:
Rooms were small with limited storage, beds small too for America. you had to request room cleaning (but not a problem if you did ask). Being from the uk, I wasn’t aware of the super high taxes for staying (c$100 a night).

Positives:
Came for the Riot Fest (SLAYER!!!!!!!!!!). I loved this Hotel! Staff was excellent! Free water was great. Good coffee shop on site (and NOT Starbucks...I hate Starbucks). Very lively at night including a cool speakeasy (Prices were a bit steep for drinks, but good). Great location and very walkable to many things. There is an awesome Heavy Metal Bar/Restaurant a block away(Kuma's Corner) if your'e into that sort of thing.
Negatives:
Room could have been a bit bigger, but It was what I expected. Wish hotel had a hot tub. Food and drinks a bit pricey, but normal for that area, so can't really complain.

Positives:
We loved the roof top
Negatives:
This is a hotel for hipsters who want a party scene - which isn’t our thing. Wondering how many hipsters can afford $700 a night. We’ve stayed in a lot of 4 and 5 stars all over the night and have never paid $700 a night.
