It was a very nice...
Positives:
For the price of the hotel, the rooms were a lot more upscale and fancy. The cleanliness was impeccable, and the bed was amazingly comfy.
Negatives:
For the price, it would have made it more worth it to include breakfast, especially since there wasn't any pool etc. in an already expensive hotel, we weren't interested in spending more at the restaurant, although it did look like it had a nice menu.
The only comment on the room was that for a two person booking, they only provided one robe. We thought that may have been a mistake.
We had an unfortunate bad experience with valet parking. It's hard to know who is at fault, but we paid for the $48/day valet service overnight parking, and our car came back scratched up. An investigation is on going with our insurances now because it will cost us a lot to get the scratches fixed. The hotel was apologetic and got their valet manager right away. We are still waiting on a copy of their incident report and surveillance report 5 days later which I am not very impressed with, so I will be calling. I understand that it's hard to know if it was a valet driver or someone from the city that caused the damage of course, but I would like it figured out and it's just one of those unfortunate things you wish would never happen!
Other than that, the stay was good!

It was in fact a beautiful property.
Negatives:
We checked into our room that totaled over $700 for ONE night and our sliding bathroom door was broken. They came up and looked at it and we didn’t find out until check out that they had to order a part for the sliding door. We had a group of people that couldn’t shut the BATHROOM DOOR to use the restroom or to shower and I was charged the full price nor was I given any sort of comp for the major inconvenience. I felt like that was something that could not be overlooked and needed a review.
