The Charlotte-Douglas International Airport is 20 miles away. Visitors can enjoy browsing a wide variety of antique and specialty shops at Cannon Village, Waxhaw Village and local malls. There are several restaurants and cocktail lounges located in the surrounding area. Special features and amenities include free continental breakfast and free coffee in the lobby. There is a Fun Center within walking distance of the hotel. This hotel offers business travelers conveniences like free wireless high-speed Internet access in all rooms, computer hookups, access to fax services, work desks and competitive corporate rates. Did not see any bugs. Mini Fridge and microwave were clean and usable.
Negatives:
Property was dirty and outdated. I was charged a security deposit that was not mentioned at booking. No breakfast. Had to chase down towels. Property was not clean. lampshades broken, walls need painting, Bedding needs upgrade and the pillows were dirty and flat. I was told I would have to wait 5-7 business days for deposit to be released IF the room was okay when checked. Room was dirty upon arrival, with no iron and two sets of towels when my reservation was for 4 people. There was no Bible or iron, so I do not know what they think someone would take. Walls need painting, there was a patched up hole in bathroom door, toilet was slow to flush...rising to the rim before receding. Bedding looked to be early 90s with holes burnt into comforters and under sheets. TV was small. Plugs for electronics did not work. One electrical socket was missing the cover for it. Hangers were all broken. At check in the man was rude when I asked why the price I was paying was not the same as what was quoted on Booking.com. He continued to talk over me and when I asked about the breakfast, he cut me off and said NO breakfast, Coffee only. The best part of our stay was seeing no bugs and checking out. I am still waiting on my $25 deposit to be returned. For the price of this stay there are better places with better customer service.

Positives:
Just about the only positive things I could say were the gentleman that checked me in was nice and helpful, and the rooms were spacious
Negatives:
Dirty. Mold in the fridge. Toilet, tub and sink were all clogged. I ended up fixing all that myself. Floor was disgusting. No slip stuff in the tub is flaking off. Plugs won't stay in outlets. Take your money elsewhere you'll be glad you did.

Im a single mother and I shouldnt be paranoid about someone in management opening up my occupied room door to ask me if Im staying. Then they TOLD ME that they were coming to clean my room and that I couldnt decline that it needed to be done because they had no housekeeping for the weekend. I want my money back
