The location was ideal for us as we were attending a football game in Norman, about 15 minutes away. Location was the main reason we selected the hotel. I normally do not even consider La Quinta as an option when we are looking for a hotel just for the 2 of us.
Negatives:
The air conditioner did not cool the room at all. We had checked in around 4, before leaving for the game, and turned down the thermostat so the room would be cooler when we returned. We arrived back at the hotel shortly after 10 pm. The room was hot. We called front desk. Super nice lady answered. She said building engineer did not come on until 11 pm, and that she was the only one there, she knew nothing about the AC, and that since the hotel was full, they could not move us to another room. She did bring us a fan, but we never heard from anyone else, either that night or the next morning. My wife and I virtually did not sleep at all as a consequence.
