This is our second time staying here. I was not as impressed with the courtyard this trip as I was last summer. Last summer everything looked new and nice around the pool and this summer it honestly looked run down. Last summer there was a beautiful pergola over lounge cabanas that was gone this trip (I'm assuming storms probably took it out) but even excluding that, it was just pretty run down looking. But even saying all of that, because that's not a necessity. It is a great value hotel and we will continue to stay here on our return trips to the area.

Friendly staff; prompt check in (i loved being able to check in online before we arrived); provided a room preference that we requested; bed was fantastic; check out was fast and also done on my phone; and the breakfast was good.

Room 134 - couldn't get the sink to give us cold water No matter which direction I turned the knob, it was hot. If we were to stay another night, I would have mentioned it to the desk. I did tell the desk when I turned in my keys.

Check-in was smooth and staff were friendly.

The carpet in the halls is really worn and stained. The halls are dark and un-inviting. Part of the baseboard was missing in the entryway to our room, which made us wonder if our room was under construction, though no other signs of work were seen.
The swimming pool water was not clear, which made us wonder if the water had been properly cleaned and filtered.
I found out at the front desk that since we booked online directly with the hotel and did not indicate being members of AAA or AARP in our online booking, that we could not get a lower rate on our room at check-in. This policy is definitely not customer-friendly and made our room cost more than we expected. As a Wyndham (and former LaQuinta) rewards member, our experience at this facility in Addison, TX was disappointing.
We are not giving up on Wyndham/LaQuinta, especially since they are usually pet-friendly, but this was not a great experience.

Convenient location, but disappointing facility...
Positives:
Bathroom had mold and the AC was old so there was a lot of humidity in the room causing a wet smell. The halls and main area have scented perfume in the air so you can't tell until you check into your room where there is no additives of perfume. The staff was constantly on their phones and very slow at everything. I stayed for 9 days and not once was my room cleaned nor linens refreshed, at check out I was told cleaning is "by request only" which is unacceptable being this is a hotel and not an AirBnB (reserving energy is bullshit, this is a move for the weak and the poor). Usually I love staying at La Quinta but I guess my expectations are too high for this location as it cannot compete with other locations.
