This historic boutique hotel was built in 1914 and inspired by the union of old and new worlds, with roots from its Pan-Latin culture. Hotel Havana is located in downtown San Antonio within a 5-minute walk of the San Antonio Riverwalk, directly adjacent to the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts. Positives:
We loved the interior, the bed was comfortable and we even got a free room upgrade. The staff was lovely.
Negatives:
The suite was close to the restaurant, the reception desk and the staircase so it was quite noisy at times.

Positives:
Great location, nice entrance, and a really charming restaurant but room was claustrophobic, somewhat rundown, and uncomfortable. Calling it Bunkhouse Havana would be more honest than Hotel Havana.
Negatives:
The room was claustrophobic, somewhat rundown, not very clean, and uncomfortable - nowhere to put the clothes or suitcases. Hotel offers no breakfast (pricey weekends brunch only) and basic things such as iron, tea, water, etc. are missing while half of our room was occupied with a full sized fridge stocked with pay-for snacks and drinks.

Great location and a charming...
Positives:
The location of this hotel is excellent. Right by the riverwalk and easy to walk into central San Antonio. The hotel is also beautifully old-fashioned. The Ocho restaurant is also very good. Staff were pleasant and helpful.
Negatives:
The beds in the queen rooms were very high off the floor and we found this uncomfortable. The facilities in each room were not great (some rooms have hairdryers, others do not and the front desk could not provide). In the queen rooms there is nowhere to sit other than 1 chair. Not great if there are two people. Rooms were quite dusty. The hotel doesn't serve breakfast for most of the week (which is very unusual) and this was not made clear when we booked.

Great location but facilities are...
Positives:
Building is beautiful, location was perfect for our activities and what we wanted to do. We love the hotel.
Negatives:
Staff were unwelcoming and just looked like they didn't want to be there. They were unhelpful - both when we tried to book a table at the hotel restaurant and when we had any questions. One to two word answers so we stopped asking and just worked things out for ourselves.
