It was nice to have updated items in the room with new beds.
Negatives:
Palmetto bug crawling along the desk while I was in a zoom meeting. Got paint on my pants from a wall during their remodeling. Fridge froze my food, there was no temperature button I could see to adjust. The Keurig didn't have a lid on it where the water goes, and you could see debris in the filter.

This is one of the worst experiences I have had a hotel and particularly for a Holiday Inn - can't believe they would even put their name on the building - it was that bad.
Fortunately the woman working the desk was understanding and attempted the best she could to help, but they didn't give her anything to work with. It was a dump. I don't even know where I would start to describe it, but I could probably put together a pamphlet on things a hotel should not have and I could use this one to note every example.
Two bad experiences at Holiday Inn's in one weekend - I think this diminished any trust I had previously put in them.

Out of bathroom supplies. Out of hair conditioner, bathroom hand soap never refilled. Napkins not fresh. Newly renovated bathroom with old bathtub. Dirty and dusty in room coffee machine. Weekend morning breakfast not good service. Near highway so lot of noise.
