Williamsburg Lodge Autograph Collection by Marriott

Negatives: Even though we pre-paid they charged us for a deposit which equaled to one night 360.00 and did not let us know they were going to, then said it was for incidentals, so we used that thinking it would cover our dinner and they charged that separately and we will not get our money back for 5 business days. We also got a deluxe king and were out in the back of the hotel by the loading docks. View was awful and it was very loud. Will not stay there again.

Negatives: Dirty bathroom and shower, plumbing fixtures in disrepair including paint chipping off the ceiling, what looked like mold in the grout and clearly a moldy shower curtain. Did not meet expectations for an Autograph Collection at a high premium cost per night. Marriott should downgrade this hotel to a much lower tier hotel. It a good value for the money especially when you have stayed at other Autograph Collection properties. As a Lifetime Silver Elite and prior to COVID a Titanium Elite, I’ve stayed in a lot of Marriott properties and the Williamsburg Lodge is, in my opinion, bottom 3. The hotel coffered an apology and points equivalent to one night stay. We didn’t feel that made up for the awful condition of the bathroom. A disappointing 3 night stay at over $1300 room costs.

Negatives: Every property has a few issues. Shower door didn’t stay closed, blinds wouldn’t go up, etc. Not going to really affect my trip, but would be nice if inspections were done to catch these items for an Autograph level hotel.

Negatives: No water fountain in the lobby. No lotions or extras in the bathroom. For that much money we thought we would have lotion,q-tips, make up remover pad so we didn’t bring them. At $350 a night it should come with them and some water or at least glasses for water.

Negatives: Coffee machine in one of the rooms didn’t work, bathroom didn’t have a fan

Negatives: Thin towels. No water in room. No turn down service.

Negatives: Staff was not so up to our expectations. Dinner in the restaurant took way too long and stay was charged twice to my credit card. Good thing is that everything was settled correctly in the end.

Negatives: Unclean and outdated rooms, poor quality fixtures. Broken AC. Room keys that often have to be re-keyed. Our stay was comp’d due to AC being out, staff did all they could. This hotel needs a lot maintenance upgrades and improvements to cleaning to be considered an “autograph” property.

Negatives: Rooms cost to me little high especially separate room for the kids.

Negatives: Everything was excellent

Negatives: We were supposed to be able to check in at 4pm. The room was late and we could not check in till 5pm.
