The person checking us in seemed like she was trying.
Negatives:
No elevator. Had to lug our suitcases up a flight of stairs. The first room we checked into had not been finished being made up. The desk attendant gave us another room but it had a dirty towel left behind the bathroom door and the linens did not look like they had been changed. But at point we didn't complain. We just gutted it out.

Was clean for a building that old. Staff was ok.

Walls paper thin, could hear the phone conversation in the room next door, people walking back and forth upstairs, terrible pillows, the bed creaked every time you moved.

Disappointing
Positives:
The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was comfy with lots of pillows. Nice bathtub with lots of hot water. I appreciated having both a microwave and refrigerator in the room. There was coffee, but no tea. Breakfast was very good. There were scrambled eggs, sausage links, and potatoes, as well as a waffle maker, cereals, oatmeal packets, fruit, coffee and tea. There were pastries and bread items. I noticed there was no yogurt, which is one of the things I look for at a motel breakfast. The apple I had was old and mealy, but everything else was great. The lady working in the breakfast area was fantastic, supplying everything and keeping everything clean.
Negatives:
The fruit at breakfast could have been fresher.
