Positives: The hotel understood that I was a single woman with a young daughter and it was unsafe for us. As such they waved the fees. However, your company still charged me.
Negatives: The hotel was boarded up with plywood along one whole side of the building. There were homeless people everywhere. We did not feel safe. The closest convenience store was grimy and we watch the store owner rip off an old man so we left. This is not a good place for a woman and her daughter to enjoy four days in Edmonton. The hotel fire escape door on the stairs wasn’t in service. It was unsafe inside and out. I will never use booking.com again. Or any other third party booking site even if it seems cheaper because in the end I paid 230 some dollars for nothing.
