This place was on strike, and we could not enjoy any time in peace. The strikers even provoked our dog to be jerks. I called Hilton to get a refund or at least a partial refund and I have not heard back. This was Sept 3. Workers want to make $39 dollars in a few years - ya right .... washing dishes, making beds is not a $40 per hour job. Thanks, Democrats, for creating an issue we all have to clean up now.

Terrible - Illegals on strike...
Positives:
Don’t stay there. Stayed there for three nights and no one cleaned the room or changed the towels. From desk staff including the manager Andrew were useless and not terrible to interact with. Picketers were at the front and couldn’t sleep for the entire stay. Worst Hilton stay experience so far.

Please be aware that employees have been on strike since the beginning of September. I was not made aware prior to arrival. Unsatiafied employees with blow horns, drums, and chanting "check-out", among other things, from 7am-10pm daily. On arrival we were told, this has been occurring for a few weeks now. This ruined my trip, entering/ exiting and being woken up at 7am (from the 25th floor) etc. was a nightmare. Hilton refused to reimburse in any way. Make sure protesting is not happening before you go and that they actually have freindly staff on hand, especially considering the cost you'll pay for a small room.

Due to strike action from hotels workers i was woken up early after a long haul flight by air horns, loud hailers and shouting and i was on the 15th floor. due to this action many of the hotels access points were shut including the drop off point as uber refused to go up and gates were shut preventing access so had to walk with suitcases. Staff didn't even acknowledge what was going on or try to move them off site or even put a security guard nearby to encourage you to feel safe.

The location to the convention center, the very comfortable bed, the cannery, and gift shops were good as well.
I really liked the spinach torte bake and the tomato olive torte bake.
Oh and the acai bowl place under the hotel, was very good and had very friendly staff (not sure how connected to the hotel they are but thought I should mention it since it is the same building)

The parking fee for self parking, the programming options on the TV, being woken up at dawn by the protesters making God awfully noise no issue with protests but can they at least wait till people are more likely out of bed (not really the hotels doing),

If I had known that...
Positives:
The room was clean and a nice place to land after a few 12 hour shifts. There is also a nice boardwalk with beautiful water views to walk along. Check in/out process was a breeze.

Unfortunately there was a strike/demonstration going on during my stay. While I understand the situation they are in, it really made the stay horrible with people yelling/chanting very loudly and playing drums at every entrance of the hotel. The demonstration forced the hotel to close off several entries/exits which made coming and going feel like a maze. Furthermore, they don’t have tv remotes, they expect you to download their app and use your phone as a remote…the last thing I want to do after I’ve been on my phone all day for work is to continue using it as a remote when I just want to put it away and disconnect. The app remote also didn’t work for me so that was also frustrating.
