Positives: Staffs (Mr.Varun , breakfast area maintenance staffs) were courteous and helpful. Breakfast was good. Room was comfortable.
Negatives: On Juy 9th - Our Reservation got cancelled right before check in!!! Still giving 8 points, as rest of the things were fine. I was shocked to know the cancellation from front desk - stranded at 11 pm with family. It felt horrible. This is the first time, we faced it - dint know where to go knocking for a stay. They simple overbooked 2 queen bedrooms and kicked our confirmed reservation (Got reservation confirmation email on July 7th- 2 days before check in day) !!! That's terrible and bad on Hampton inn system/ overall management. Very bad, very bad. They sent a mail that my reservation got cancelled at 10:30 pm that night. I was driving from airport to Cumming at that time and dint check mail, as i had confirmation mail earlier. Auto mail for hotel: Good Evening This is Hampton inn front desk receptionist in Cumming Ga. We are sorry to inform you that because of maintenance issues we cannot honour your reservation confirmation number xxxxxxx. We offer the upmost apologies. We tried to reach you by phone did not get an answer machine to leave a message. Dint see any maintenance activity going on in the premises!!! They DID NOT call !!!. Then finally there was a respite - front desk manager Mr.Varun, was helpful and he got us book a king bedroom. We are a family of 3, so booked 2 queen room - looks like they over booked that room type, but had a king room available. Was happy to get a room at 12 AM after a tiring journey. Thanks to Mr.Varun. Just be aware of this slipshod management, call ahead before going all the way to the property.
